Our Mission
Psychology has real tools for understanding how people think, feel, and connect. We make them accessible, and use what we learn to push the science forward.
What We're Building
Psyche brings together real psychology assessments, the same kinds of tools researchers use to study personality, cognition, emotions, and values. We map your results across multiple scientific frameworks to give you a richer picture of who you are than any single test could.
But your results aren't just for you. Together, the data contributed by our community is helping answer some of psychology's biggest open questions.
The Bigger Picture
Psychology has learned a lot about what goes wrong. Less is known about the other side: what does it actually look like when things go right? By looking at anonymized data across thousands of people, we can start spotting patterns that would be invisible in any one person's results:
- How personality traits relate to emotional wellbeing
- Which strengths, habits, and circumstances tend to go together
- How traits like empathy, openness, or grit show up differently across cultures
- What early patterns might signal that someone could benefit from support
These are questions that require large, diverse datasets to answer. Every assessment you complete contributes to that picture.
Your Data Is Always Protected
We take this seriously. If you choose to contribute your data to research, it is always de-identified before use.
Permanently removed
- Your name, email, and login credentials
- Your IP address
- Any free-text responses that could identify you
What researchers see
- Assessment scores and response patterns
- Broad demographic categories (e.g. age range, gender)
- Aggregated trends across populations, never individual profiles
Your specific answers to any single question are never isolated or shared. Only aggregate patterns are ever analyzed.
Grounded in Real Science
Every assessment on Psyche comes from peer-reviewed psychology research or is developed in-house using the same methods researchers use. We validate our tools to make sure they actually measure what they claim to.
We build population norms from real response data, not made-up benchmarks. As more people take assessments, that context gets richer and more accurate for everyone.
It's Always Your Choice
Research contribution is completely optional. You can opt in or out at any time from your settings, and it won't affect your access to Psyche or your personal results.
If you choose to contribute, you're helping build a better understanding of the human mind. If you don't, that's completely fine too.
