Psyche Manifesto
Psychology solved measurement decades ago. Hundreds of validated instruments, built over a century of research. But that data has never been collected in one place, for everyone, at scale. There is no consumer platform that gives people real personality science and keeps the dataset. People are paying for astrology and MBTI. The real thing doesn't have a consumer product.
We're building it.
Think 23andMe for personality. Same model: a consumer product people genuinely want, collecting a dataset nobody else can build. One difference. 23andMe sold their users' data to pharma, went bankrupt, and left millions of people's genetic information in legal limbo. We are a Public Benefit Corporation. The buyers who would pay the most for this data, insurers, advertisers, political targeting firms, are banned in our charter. Not just our pitch.
The consumer app gives people science-backed assessments that are actually fun to take and share. They come back. The data compounds. What grows underneath is the first longitudinal personality dataset at consumer scale, tied to real life outcomes, collected with consent. That does not exist anywhere today.
Better quality data, more of it, and a product people actually want to come back to. That combination improves every prediction we make: who you're compatible with, what work fits you, how you'll respond to a treatment. That's the business Hogan built for enterprises at $500M+. Nobody has built it for consumers, because nobody has the data. We will.
